PILOTS Skylink
Membership & VA Application

SKYLINK Virtual Airlines is an open virtual airline for all IVAO users.

Of course, we know that other virtual airlines also provide similar services, but with SKYLINK, you don’t even need to register on our website to fly. Let’s explain this a bit more.

After logging in to our website with your IVAO Credentials, you can immediately click “CREATE FLIGHT”, plan your desired flight through our guided pages, and then start your flight. Since our fleet is integrated with SimBrief, the only thing we ask from you at this stage is your SimBrief ID.

Once you complete your first flight, if you meet our simple requirement, we will invite you to become one of our registered pilots via the “APPLY SKYLINK” button, which will now be available on our website. However, if you prefer, you can ignore this button and continue performing your flights by clicking “CREATE FLIGHT”, without becoming a registered pilot.

Since we mentioned that you can fly without being our pilot, let’s also explain what awaits you if you decide to join as a registered pilot.

First of all, our application requirement is that your IVAO pilot rating must be at least Private Pilot (PP), and your ATC rating must be at least Aerodrome Controller (ADC). If you do not currently meet this requirement, the application button will not be visible to you.

If you meet the requirement, as soon as you click the “APPLY SKYLINK” button, your application will be automatically accepted, and you will then be expected to fulfill the following conditions:

Pilot Initial Activity Requirement (PIAR)

After submitting your application, we expect you to complete at least 1 flight within 7 days. Once you perform this flight, your acceptance will be confirmed. If you fail to meet the PIAR condition within this period, you will need to reapply later.

Pilot Activity Requirement (PAR)

Once you fulfill the PIAR condition, you will then be subject to the PAR rules. Our registered pilots are expected to perform at least 2 flights each month.

On the first day of every month, we check whether this condition was met in the previous month. Pilots who fail to meet it will be automatically removed from the official pilot roster. However, these pilots can still continue using our website if they wish.

So, what is the difference? You can find more details about this in the Pilot Roles section.

Whether you choose to become a registered pilot or continue flying without registering, you will always be able to benefit from our system.
