Membership and Official Pilot Track
Fly with any ACARS, connect with IVAO, operate with SKYLINK Dispatch.
Open access and the optional official track
Signing in to SKYLINK requires at least 250 IVAO pilot hours and an AS3 or higher ATC rating. Signing in with IVAO opens the Contract Pilot path. A Contract Pilot can create and book flights on the website, join events, earn Linx and build a public Pilot Passport without applying for an official position.
Official Pilot requirements
The Official Pilot track is optional and has a single requirement: an IVAO Private Pilot (PP) pilot rating and an Approach Controller (APC) ATC rating, or higher. The former alternative of 500 IVAO pilot hours no longer applies. Official Pilots who do not hold these ratings continue as Contract Pilots until they do, and may then apply again.
- Apply from your Profile once you hold PP + APC. You become an Official Pilot candidate.
- PIAR — Pilot Initial Activity Requirement: complete 2 flights within 10 days of your application. Candidates book on the website.
- Management approval: after the PIAR, the CEO, the Flight Operations Director or the Human Resources Director approves, puts on hold or rejects the application. The reason for a hold or a rejection is sent to you by e-mail.
- PAR — Pilot Activity Requirement: as an Official Pilot, complete at least 3 flights in every rolling 30 days. A pilot who misses the PAR continues as a Contract Pilot.
SKYLINKER
SKYLINKER * Pilot's Notebook is available to Official Pilots only, who download it from their Profile and make all their bookings in it. Contract Pilots and candidates book on the website.
All cargo flights — Cargo Operations, cargo tours, events and every other freighter flight — are flown by Official Pilots only. Contract Pilots and candidates fly passenger operations.
First Three Flights onboarding
My Operations Briefing provides a live three-step introduction:
- Complete the first booked, SimBrief-dispatched and IVAO-verified operation.
- Complete a second sector and practise assigned-stand discipline where stands are available.
- Complete the third verified sector and review its evidence-based debrief.
The checklist is calculated from actual completed flights; it is not a manually awarded badge.
