Cargo Care

Every cargo flight is scored for how gently the aircraft is handled, from taxi-out to block-in. When the manifest contains fragile or temperature-sensitive lines the score also sets the pay: a clean flight earns a +25% LINX premium, rough handling reduces the pay. On other cargo flights the score is for information only.

Which cargo affects the pay

  • Fragile: ART (art and exhibition materials), ELC (electronics), AOG (aircraft parts), TEL (telecommunications equipment), FUR (furniture), MED (medical equipment), HEG (hatching eggs), AVI (live animals).
  • Temperature-sensitive: PIL and CRT (pharmaceuticals), PER (fresh produce), PEF (cut flowers), PES (chilled seafood), HEG (hatching eggs), AVI (live animals). These are loaded only on the Boeing 777F, never on the 737-800BCF or in passenger aircraft holds.
  • Fragile lines appear in Cargo Operations, cargo tours, charter cargo and passenger belly cargo, and only for Official Pilots, because the score is measured by SKYLINKER.

Temperature-controlled cargo (777F)

Lines that need the same temperature form one group and are loaded together in one compartment, or in neighbouring compartments set to the same range. A flight may carry more than one group; different groups never share a compartment and each group is checked against its own range. The Flight Deck, the cargo manifest and the NOTOC show the compartment and the range to set, for example Set lower AFT hold to +4°C/+8°C.

  • Main deck FWD and AFT: adjustable from 4°C to 27°C. Lower FWD and AFT holds: 4°C to 32°C. The lower AFT selector also has HEAT L (7°C) and HEAT H (21°C). A loaded compartment selected OFF has no target and counts as outside its range.
  • From takeoff until the end of the flight, each full 15 minutes that a loaded compartment is outside its range deducts 3 points.
  • There is no frozen cargo: the compartments cannot go below 4°C.

The score

Every flight starts at 100. Each event below deducts points, and each further 10 points lost costs more than the previous 10, so repeated mistakes add up quickly. The order of events does not matter.

EventLimitPenalty
Taxi overspeedstraight above 25 kt, turning above 15 kt (not on the runway)2
Sharp taxi turnlateral load above 0.12 g / 0.20 g3 / 6
Hard brakingdeceleration above 0.20 g (rejected takeoff excluded)4
Abrupt thrustacceleration above 0.15 g while taxiing3
Steep bankabove 35° / 40° (autopilot turns are not penalised)3 / 6
Excessive pitchabove 20° nose-up or below −5°4
Abrupt G loadoutside 0.7–1.4 g caused by control input5
Touchdownabove 600 / 800 / 1,000 ft/min8 / 15 / 30
Bouncesecond contact within 5 seconds10
Tail strikepitch above the aircraft limit on the ground25
Wrong cargo temperature (777F)each full 15 minutes outside the required range3

Pushback is not scored, and braking before the taxi first passes 5 kt is the brake check: it is recorded and not penalised.

Turbulence is not penalised: G loads without control input are recorded only. A sustained condition, such as one long steep turn, counts once at its worst value.

Pay (fragile or temperature-sensitive cargo)

  • 80–100: full LINX and XP, plus the +25% premium.
  • 51–79: LINX and XP fall gradually.
  • 50 or below: no LINX and no XP for the flight.

Unverified flights

SKYLINKER must observe taxi-out, takeoff, landing and taxi-in (stopped with the parking brake set). If one of these phases is not observed, or the connection drops, slew is used or the simulation rate is changed during one of them, the flight is unverified and scores 50: no LINX and no XP when the pay is affected.

Live score

On cargo flights, the Flight Deck page in SKYLINKER shows the score, the pay percentage and the latest penalties during the flight; fragile pallets turn amber below 80 and red at 50 or below. On passenger flights with fragile belly cargo the score is measured the same way and appears in the flight's LINX wallet entry.

How Level, Tier, XP and Badges are calculated

Fly with any ACARS, connect with IVAO, operate with SKYLINK Dispatch.

Level, Tier and XP
  • Base XP = (completed flights x 20) + (full airtime hours x 5) + ((total Linx excluding stand Linx bonuses) / 10) + stand XP bonus points.
  • Eligible Marketplace XP bonuses are applied after Base XP.
  • Level = floor(XP / 100) + 1.
  • Tier by level: Explorer (1-4), Pathfinder (5-9), Commander (10-19), Legend (20+).
  • Current streak counts consecutive days with at least one completed flight.
  • Longest streak is the highest consecutive-day run in your full history.
Badge Criteria
  • First Lift: 1+ completed flight
  • Commuter progression: 10, 25, 50 and 100 completed flights
  • 100h Airborne: 100+ airtime hours
  • 7-Day Streak: complete a streak of at least 7 consecutive days; once earned, the badge remains
  • Linx Earner: 10,000+ total Linx
  • Additional badges cover scheduled, cargo, route, airport, time-window, fleet, maintenance, gallery and Flying Together achievements.
Visitor-to-Captain Principles
  • Contract Pilot path is always open: fly, join events and earn Linx without applying.
  • Official Pilot path is optional and requires a separate application.
  • Official eligibility requires a recent SKYLINK flight and either the configured IVAO pilot hours or the Pilot plus ATC rating thresholds.
  • After applying, PIAR window starts and must be completed on time.
Official Track Flow
  • Stage 1 - Visitor: login with IVAO and start operations freely.
  • Stage 2 - Contract Pilot: continue unlimited flights and events.
  • Stage 3 - Official Candidate: recent flight and experience gate met.
  • Stage 4 - PIAR: complete required flights before PIAR deadline.
  • Stage 5 - Official Pilot: promoted after PIAR success.
